Botanic de Barcelona was designed by Landscape Architect Bet Figueras and Architects Carlos Ferrater and Jose Luis Canosa. Botanic de Barcelona occupies an area of 33 acres of Montjuic, it provides 72 different planting communities which include Mediterranean, North African, Canary Islands and many more. The park deals with the change in level along the side of Montjuic very well using sheets of none treated iron to hold up the sides of the hill creating pockets and pathways in which the visitor can pass through easily. The Botanical Gardens was one of the best attractions that I went to during my stay in Barcelona and is a great piece of landscape architecture.
