Located on the Hill of Montjuic, southwest Barcelona the pavilion was built as an exhibition space designed by Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe, built 1929 and demolished in 1930 it was then later Rebuilt in 1959 to the original design. I found this building a little dull but I did appreciate what was being achieved with the space. The building was very light and airy and the cross from the inside to the outside was almost unnoticeable this I liked a lot as I think even though it is so simple it can be hard to achieve in a design. What I didn’t like about the visit was the large amount of tourists viewing it which really ruined the tranquil feel the pavilion was built for, and I would have liked to have had a look around by myself just to experience it.
