Graffiti Dispute

Banksy has been involved in a controversial move in which he has painted over a respected graffiti artist’s tag who is known as Robbo. Banksy created the image in response to the disappointing outcome of the Copenhagen talks in which he covered the tag that had been untouched since 1985 in the Camden area, in north London along Regents Canal. Covering up another graffiti artists work is considered disrespectful and within a few days Robbo had re-tagged over banksys work. I love Banksy’s early work but lately I feel as if he thinks his work is almost untouchable especially as in Bristol the public has won arguments with the council to keep some of his images with the council even cleaning them if some else graffiti’s over his work.
