Proposed Oldbury Power Station

I have managed to find this plan from the Draft National Policy Statement for Nuclear Power Generation (EN-6) that shows the extent of the green field land that will be lost when the, or if the new power station will be built at its current proposed state. The area that will go under construction is highlighted in red, and to the bottom right of the proposed area is the existing power plant and as you can see this large site could soon be dwarfed by the new plant, and it puts into perspective of the photoshoped cooling towers in previous posts, and you can now see that the images aren’t an exaggeration of scale. I know the area quite well and the site that could be constructed on or should I say will be constructed on is a rather nice tranquil piece of farmland and wetland that is used and inhabited by many animals. I also worry about the River Severn, such delicate eco systems such as water ways need to be protected especially as our seas are struggling and I just not sure what type of effect this power station will have.
